The 90th edition of the Masters will return to our screens this Thursday, April 9. Considered by many to be the best week of golf each year, the traditions at Augusta National are legendary.

But there’s no need to fork out on tickets and travel. We can replicate the elements of the experience right here in Knoxville:
  • Among Augusta’s unique spectator experiences is a ban on phones, meaning patrons are more engaged with the event. Maybe you could leave your phone in the car the next time you get Arnold Palmers with friends at Café 4.
  • Despite its prestige, concessions are famously cheap at the Masters — there are deals aplenty around Knoxville, too. Upgrade from a pimento cheese sandwich and get the Fried Green Tomato Burger from 71 South, made with pimento cheese, bacon, fried green tomatoes, and Cajun mayo.
  • If you want to hit the course, we’re fans of Dead Horse Lake Golf Course. It’s a family-owned course with a neat history, and locals rave about the lush greens and friendly staff.
