☕ Local media runs on you
We receive hundreds of thank you notes and kind messages every week. | Gif by 6AM City
Each day, we write the 865today newsletter with one goal: to help you better connect with your community. And each day, our friends across the US, from Seattle to Tampa Bay, do the same.
Here at 6AM City, we know the value of investing in local media. It keeps neighbors connected and the community informed. We’re invested in improving how you experience Knoxville, like what events to attend + the latest city initiatives and developments to keep an eye on — all in our free newsletter. How is that sustainable, you might ask?
We partner with national brands and some of Knoxville’s best organizations + businesses that support our mission of bringing only good news to your inbox, but efforts don’t stop there. Over the next six days, we’re running a reader-driven campaign to help sustain the continuation of what we do best.
Helping you plan for major events | From festival coverage to our 865today Events section filled with the most-anticipated events in Knoxville
Maintaining our credibility + trust | Fun fact: Our company has turned down more than a million dollars in political ads since we started
If 865today has had a meaningful impact on the way you live life in Knoxville, like it has for us, we’d love to have your support. Think of it as buying us a coffee to help keep the good news coming.

This brand-new spot serves up sourdough pizzas, sandwiches + wraps, salads, and brunch favorites.
Kyuramen, 213 N. Peters Rd. | Ramen
We love this spot’s ramen bowls, omurice, and rice burgers. Plus, the neat interior features design elements inspired by Japan.
Side Hustle, 100 N. Central St. | BBQ
This backyard barbecue and cocktails concept took over the former Social Dove space behind Lonesome Dove. Try the frozen peanut colada.
