You won’t need a passport to experience the traditions of Bavaria with Schulz Bräu Brewing Co.'s 10th annual Oktoberfest returning Saturday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Oct. 12.

This award-winning brewery is home to one of the largest biergartens in the South + takes its heritage seriously — even featuring retired furniture from Munich’s Oktoberfest.

For three weeks, you can expect rounds of brews + bratwursts, live music, and so much more. The daily schedules are set for Tuesdays-Sundays — we’re tapping in with our top picks throughout the festival.

Running of the Wieners
Send Oktoberfest off by signing up your wiener dogs, or grabbing a brew and watching, for the annual race on Sunday, Oct. 12. From 3 to 5 p.m., baby brats (puppies under 1) all the way to senior sausages (ages 11+) will compete — sign up online or in person by 2 p.m. on the day.

Dirndl vs. Lederhosen
Immerse yourself with the culture from head to toe before taking to the stage to see if you dressed to impress.

Fill your steins
You can’t have the festival without new beer releases. Grab a mug of Oktoberfest Märzen — a medium to dark amber lager. Fun fact: Historically, this style of beer was brewed in March + stored in cold caves before its autumnal release.

If you’re looking for a lager that’s more on the golden side, try the Festbier — in recent history, this style has taken over as the go-to for Oktoberfest.

Pro tip: You can find free parking in the brewery’s guest parking lot, along Bernard Avenue + AXLE Logistics’ parking lot.
