The rumors are true: California’s cult-favorite burger is finally headed to Knoxville.

Tennessee’s first In-N-Out locations opened late last year in Murfreesboro, Lebanon, and Antioch, with the chain seemingly skipping over K-Town... until now.

In-N-Out Burger Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick confirmed to the Knoxville News Sentinel that the brand is in the “early stages of planning” new locations in the Knoxville area. A timeline and location for the first restaurant are forthcoming.

Upon opening, Knoxville will be home to the chain’s easternmost location. And judging by the 44,000+ members in the In-N-Out Burger Fans of Tennessee Facebook group, opening day could look more like a festival than a fast-food debut.
